Summit Orchards
Project Profile:
Many residents of the Kansas City metropolitan area are familiar with the former AT&T/Lucent Technologies campus, a 300-acre parcel located at the intersection of I-470 & Chipman in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
Townsend Summit LLC, subsidiary of Townsend Capital in Baltimore, Maryland, stepped in to take on development of the land as part of Community Improvement District (CID).
A phase of the project included the development of Lot 4, an 8- to 10-acre site. This parcel would be subdivided into 5 lots: an Aldi grocery store, a strip mall, a small fast food restaurant, a Cooper’s Hawk restaurant, and a convenience store would call the development home.
In addition to the new businesses in Lot 4, the development is zoned for a multitude of properties including apartments, hotels, and a church.
In total, OWN provided Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, Conceptual Design, and Permitting over the course of the project.
With so much activity in the Kansas City metro area, Townsend Capital permanently staffs one employee in the market. In turn, OWN dedicates a team member to serve effectively as a de-facto member of Townsend Properties LLC.
The task? Whatever it takes to help develop and market a property.
